visited because Christina had been Carl's teaching assistant during the 2008-09 year at Simpson College and she had heard so much about the project she wanted to bring her partner Martin and her parents to see it and Carl and Norma.

They helped with the flooring in the Lower East, hiked, did some sightseeing and cooked. Martin, who is chef for his local church dinners prepared a wonderful meal for us to eat out on the terrace.

It was great for all of us to practice our German for a change.
