are friends from the previous assignment in Mumbai. They own their own summer residence in Tuscany, but every summer they have come to visit and to work helping complete our project. Heidi and Clark hope to be able to return the visits in the near future. Tuscan wine is probably as good as French wine.

Tom is always given the hard-work jobs. Trench digging, rock moving, slate stacking jobs are left for him. This year he got to be a little more creative and helped build the steps up to the terrace.

Sandy and Heidi have so much to catch up on when she arrives that they work away the hours in conversation and scarcely notice the jobs they complete while they are together.

They also made runs to town for us this year, stacked stone, and cleaned stone in the Lower East so it could be pointed.

Two years ago they helped build the dormer on the east roof.
